This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or use https://locke.id (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, and time zone. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect anonymous information about how you use our service so we can improve it. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Usage Information.”

Additionally, when you register and use a Locke account, you provide us with sensitive information such as passwords, emails, and credit cards. We refer to this information as “Secured Information.” All of this information is encrypted. Your passwords are encrypted by the master password you set during the account registration process.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer. We only use cookies to keep you logged in for a period of time after you close out of the Site. We do not track cookies from other sites or use cookies to serve you advertisements.
  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
  • “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site. We use Mixpanel and Google Analytics to analyze how you use the Site so that we can improve it.

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Payment Information.” We use Stripe to process payments on the Site.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about all four (4) types of information listed above, Device Information, Usage Information, Secured Information, and Payment Information.

Locke uses the IP2Location LITE database for IP geolocation.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address).

We use the Usage Information to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site).

We use the Secured Information to generally operate our service as a password manager.

We use the Payment Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Payment Information to communicate with you and screen our orders for potential risk or fraud.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not share your Personal Information with any third-parties, except otherwise noted above, or to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

DO NOT TRACK

Due to our already stringent data storage and sharing policies, we do not alter our Site’s data collection practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Payment Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. The same policy applies to any other information you’ve added to your Locke account.

MINORS

Those under the age of 13 may not use the Site without the consent or authorization of their parent, guardian, or legal custodian.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
